Privacy Policy
- Your money records (transactions, wallets, categories, goals) are stored on your own phone, not on our server.
- When you use the AI voice feature, your recording or text is sent to be turned into transactions and is not stored by us.
- During the beta, we keep your name and email, usage stats without any money details, and the feedback you send.
1. Data stored on your phone
Transactions, wallets, categories, goals and app settings are kept in your browser's storage on your device. They are not sent to our server, so we can't recover them if your phone is lost, broken, or the browser data is cleared. Use Settings → Save backup regularly.
Photos you pick for story cards are processed on your phone and never uploaded to our server. A card is only shared when you tap Share yourself.
2. Data processed by our server
- Google account: your email and name from Google Sign-In, to let you into the app. We never receive your password.
- Voice recordings or typed text you want logged, together with your wallet and category names, are sent to our server and passed to Google Gemini to be turned into transactions. Our server does not store the recordings, the text, or the results.
- Beta usage stats, linked to your account so the team can understand how testers use the app: when you open the app, whether you logged by voice, typing or the form, whether it worked, how many transactions were logged, how long it took, corrections to AI results, and your answers to the short “Did voice make logging easier?” question. These stats never include amounts, descriptions, transcripts or recordings.
- Feedback you send through Send feedback, together with your email, so we can follow up.
3. About Google Gemini (AI)
The app currently uses the free Gemini API. On the free tier, Google may use submitted content to improve its products, as described in the Gemini API Terms. Please avoid saying very personal information (account numbers, PINs, passwords) when recording. If we move to a paid tier, this policy will be updated.
3b. Google Sheets backup (optional)
If you use Back up to Google Sheets, the app asks for limited Google Drive access (drive.file):
it can only create and open the backup spreadsheet it made itself, and can't see other files in your Drive.
The spreadsheet lives in your Google Drive and is sent straight from your phone to Google, without passing through our server.
This permission only lasts about an hour each time you back up or restore.
4. Services that help us
- Google: sign-in (Google Sign-In), AI (Gemini), and Google Sheets backup if you use it.
- Cloudflare: runs our server (Workers & D1 database).
- Our web host: serves the app's pages.
- cdnjs: libraries for creating PDF/Excel files, downloaded the first time you export.
We don't sell your data and don't use it for ads.
5. Your rights
- Data on your phone: export it anytime with Save backup or a report download, and delete it with Settings → Delete all data on this phone.
- Google Sheets backup: it's in your Google Drive; delete it there anytime.
- Data on our server (account, usage stats & feedback): ask for a copy or deletion through Send feedback.
- Google access: you can revoke the app's access anytime in your Google account settings.
6. Storage & security
All communication with our server is encrypted (HTTPS). A sign-in lasts 30 days on each device. Usage stats and feedback are kept while the app is in beta testing and reviewed afterwards. The usage stats page can only be opened by the app owner.
7. Changes
This policy may change, for example when premium features or cloud storage are added. The date at the top will be updated, and important changes will be announced in the app.
